I recently said to a group of friends right before I moved, “home is where the heart is and my heart is here.” That was of course, before I moved, while I was still in the place I love with my animals. After returning to the place I called home for more than 9 years for a long weekend, I realized that multiple places can be home. And more importantly, home is where my animals are. I was in my house with my things but it was empty because they weren’t there. So now I go back to my new home with a new appreciation for it because my pets live there.
I often say perspective is one of the greatest gifts we can have. It can completely change how you look at a situation.
I’m home with my family and I am happy.
