Maybe winning isn’t a zero sum game

And life is more than taking all or none

Perhaps the two are just the same

Whether you have lost or won

They say that being kind and fair

Is more important than being right 

Many don’t seem to have much care

But it’s what let’s me sleep at night 

Life is short, sometimes unkind

All I can change is me

No matter what is in my mind

I must let others be

When my time has come some day

I want to know I did my best

Whatever those still left might say

I peacefully will rest
