One of the greatest and most unexpected joys of starting a consulting business are the words of encouragement – both given and received.

I’ve had many friends, family members, former colleagues and acquaintances reach out to let me know they like what I’m going, or wishing me best of luck. I’ve had others contact me to understand how I did it, and if it’s a fit for them too. This part is my favorite.

I have so enjoyed hearing others stories and helping, even in some small way, to encourage or inspire them to follow their dreams. It’s scary to make a jump and I think it always helps to see someone who’s done it “successfully.” I won’t say that I’ve done everything perfectly – there’s always a learning curve – but those learnings have only helped me in the long-run, and can maybe help someone else too as they’re just starting out.
